It’s Time To Face Reality

A poem written by Nidotopian Warrior

This is he Who sacrificed himself
Who carried the name of his father
And was hated for it
The one who now sits in glory
The one who sees our suffering
The one who sees our tears
The one whom the House of Judah will be proud to call their king
He will soon come

Wake up and listen my brothers and sisters
It’s time to face reality

Open your bibles and history books
And tell the people who are oppressed and erased
All you so called preachers and pastors or better yet, leeches and swindlers
Tell everyone whom Deuteronomy 28:68 really refers to
Tell them about their lost heritage and nationality
And how our enemies spoiled us with deception,  misery and abnormality

Wake up and listen my brothers and sisters
It’s time to face reality

Ask the vampires who rule Babylon
Oops I mean America
Whose blood and strength sustains you?
Is it that of your murderous and lecherous forefathers like Columbus or Washington?
Or the noble kings and queens stolen from the shores of Africa?
It is the blood of our fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, daughters and sons!

Wake up and listen my brothers and sisters
It’s time to face reality

May the ones who carry the burden of frustration and grief find happiness
Even though every day the struggle beats us down and fills us with resentment and unnecessary stress
And to the ones who speak the truth and proclaim it loud and clear.
Your spirit is one that is without fear
To the ones who continue to uplift one another and remind each other of their true divine value
Just hang tight, you’ll soon get your due
Even though it means life or death
I know your reward will be truly spectacular so don’t you fret

Wake up and listen my brothers and sisters
It’s time to face reality

This is for those whose life is lived in the midst of war
Like our king who was betrayed, whipped, beaten and scarred,
Who carried a cross all the way to Calvary,
A journey and task most of us would consider too far and too hard
He was lynched like many of our fore parents but yet he rose again, strong and victorious
And if only we would believe and endure the rising currents, our return to power will be just as glorious

Wake up and listen my brothers and sisters
It’s time to face reality

As life deals us a six for a nine
I was reassured by a voice so strong but yet so kind
I will demolish the fiends, whose words are poisonous like the blood of a hind
And I will sever their hands
Because they dare to raise them against my precious lambs.
The words of a man of war, who promised our fore fathers that he would lay waste to all their (our enemies) wicked lands.

Wake up and listen my brothers and sisters
It’s time to face reality

May you my brethren finally see the light
All your lives you’ve been fed fruits infested with weevils and blight
Despite your cries of injustice, they ignored your plight
Their lies and programming steered you off the path of right
And convinced you that it is each other you should fight
Though you grope and grovel blindly in the dark of night
I pray Yah will at last restore your sight

Wake up and listen my brothers and sisters
It’s time to face reality

Blessed is the womb that gave you life
You whose heart is stronger than steel
The labour pains consumed her and she shed tears knowing you would inherit a world where dysfunction and chaos are rife
Yet in spite of all these hardships, you persevere, you conquer and heal
For who can find such an exquisite treasure
Whose worth vastly exceeds gold, diamonds rubies and so much more
Yah has truly blessed her because from within her came forth a warrior

Wake up and listen my brothers and sisters
It’s time to face reality

Zion you are the rulers of this world
Though you are displaced, scattered and hitherto hurled
You will never die
You are the true beauty and the genius recipe that makes the mouths of every man laugh with glee
Creativity is the very fibre of your being though many of you don’t realize
Everything you do is envied, mocked and even plagiarized
Though your enemies hate to admit it, when you make your demands, they MUST eventually oblige….

Wake up and listen my brothers and sisters
It’s time to face reality

Millions are experiencing an awakening
Everyone from the greatest to the least
For so long you believed an unnatural reptilian being should be honoured as God, queen and king
When in truth it is nothing short of an incarnate demonic thing.
As turmoil and carnage rage in the east
They seek your prayers and songs for sweet release

Wake up and listen my brothers and sisters
It’s time to face reality

As much as it hurts, I give thanks for the hard times and trials
Because gold can only be refined and perfected in the fire
To the one who said through much tribulation we shall find salvation
We say to him we accept your invitation

Wake up and listen my brothers and sisters
It’s time to face reality

The heavens are calling on us to join our hands like before
That way no one would dare to challenge us because our unity will shake them to the core
From on high we were nurtured with mana and divine wisdom
But in Hubris we rejected these and instead pursued abominations and whoredom
And as a result we were led away to strange lands
But by the grace of Yah we will be redeemed out of their hands
And after the journey through the dark tunnel is over,

There awaits an eternal and righteous kingdom
Along with an even brighter hope and a more promising future

Wake up and listen my brothers and sisters
It’s time to face reality

There is no real alternative to us black people
So dry the tears of self-loathing and resentment so that down your cheeks they will no longer trickle
The time will come when those who stand at the borders of our temple
Will declare loudly
Israel you are the rightful ruler
And besides you, there is no heart more purer

Wake up and listen my brothers and sisters
It’s time to face reality

Ok I admit I’m not a virtuoso when I comes to poetry but today I found inspiration in the most unlikely of places and was so moved that I ended up penning this piece. I hope you all like it…

Shalom

Excellent, excellent, excellent! Now that’s what I’m talking about. Carry on, with your bad self and with an intentional limp while you walk. Good job Bro!

Are you referring to Israel as in the way Malcom X did, that being, Black People are the true Israelites?
That’s how I read your poem, however, I’m not sure how you mean it, which is why I kindly ask you to explain that part of your poem. 🙂
If that’s okay with you, otherwise, I’ll assume you mean it as Malcom X spoke of the true Israelites.
