Farewell To You My Brother!

Randolph Holder

Shalom family, the past 10 days has been a tumultuous time for many of us in the Guyanese diaspora. On October 20th we lost one of our own. Officer Randolph Holder was shot and killed in East Harlem in the line of duty. Today his final funeral service and burial are set take place in his home country (and mine), Guyana. I just hope the most High strengthens and comforts his family, his friends and other loved ones and the 60 NYPD officers of Guyanese heritage, whether by nationality or parentage as they bid farewell to a fallen comrade.

In honour of this sad event, I will play the national Anthem of Guyana as a salute to my countrymen as well as a few others…

May He Rest In Peace…..
